Reduced fetal movements at term

* at term it is normal to see a pattern of reduced fetal movements
* If there are associated pain in the abdomen or bleeding per vaginum,  then the symptom should be taken seriously.
* A change in quality of movements is more important than the quantity of fetal movements
* Patient  should be reassured that 70% of pregnancies with a single episode of RFM are uncomplicated
